From 11 to 13 November 2024, the Italian research institution Area Science Park in Trieste is organizing the international conference “Pandemic preparedness: Achievements, current challenges, and new frontiers”, in collaboration with the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology – ICGEB within thePRP@CERIC project funded with RRNP Next Generation EU funds, allocated to Research Infrastructures.

The event aims at sharing knowledge on emerging or re-emerging viruses and their potential pandemic risk as well as encouraging networking among experts to develop synergies and multidisciplinary cooperation.

International experts will join to discuss diagnostics, epidemiology, monitoring, drug discoveries and preventive approaches in the different disciplines applied to the study of pathogens, infectious and zoonotic diseases, with focus on virology, instrumental biology, genomics, clinical diagnostics, artificial intelligence and data management.
