Research, €172 million for innovative projects allocated by MUR

Also this year, thanks to the Italian Fund for Applied Sciences (FISA), the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), has published the call for innovative project proposals in the Research, Development and Innovation area.

Using the €172 million budget, it will be possible to award 30/50 winner projects, being the call aimed at supporting original projects that can have an impact on Industrial Research and Investigational Development.

Proposals must be submitted by individual investigators (called “Principal Investigator”), both from the Italian private and public research sectors, who will coordinate the research activities conducted within the project and cooperate jointly with the Host facility (an enterprise), where the project activities will be carried out. Typically, the proposed projects will last between 2 and 5 years.

Moreover, in order to receive a positive evaluation, the PI must be highly qualified in the scientific and technological research related to the project.

To be admitted to the call, projects must concern one of the following thematic areas:

  • Advanced Manufacturing;
  • Advanced Materials;
  • Life-Science Technologies;
  • Micro/Nano-Electronics;
  • Photonics And Quantum Technologies;
  • Artificial Intelligence Security;
  • Connectivity And Space.

The project proposals can be submitted from 12:00 on 9 September 2024 to 12:00 on 11 October 2024.
