The European Innovation Council (EIC), under the EIC Pathfinder Open 2024 call, funded within Horizon Europe, offers a unique opportunity to support visionary research. With a budget of €138 million, EIC will fund 45 projects which aim at developing radically new technologies throughout a wide range of fields: health, artificial intelligence, information technology, environment and energy.
Selected proposals will receive not only grants, but will also have access to tailor-made coaching under the EIC Business Acceleration Services. The 45 winning project, selected among 1,110 applications, were submitted by 25 countries, with the highest number coming from Italy, Germany, Spain and France.
Winning applicants are multidisciplinary teams from higher education (46%), research organisations (22%) and Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (22%). This call is an extraordinary opportunity to bring innovation and actual impact in future strategic fields.
