CODIGER Summer School, 2025 Edition, Naples
The 2025 edition of the CODIGER Summer School, the Permanent Conference of General Directors of Public Research Institutions, is taking place in Naples from October 22nd to 24th.
The title is “Governing Research: From the Simplification of Law 218/16 to the Capacity for Change” and the three-day event focuses on a variety of topics, primarily research performance, data security, innovation and competitiveness and the value of public research institutions.
The Ministry of University and Research is present on October 24th with presentations by Dr. Gianluigi Consoli, Director for Internationalization and Communication Unit, Dr. Melissa Valentino, Deputy Director of for Research Unit, and Dr. Sara Rossi, Director of Office IV for Research Unit.
The covered topics include new professional structure of research, performance, training, Accrual Accounting and ITAS principles, data security, innovation and competitiveness, and the value of research institutions (according to the Legislative Decree 218/2016).
Dr. Sara Rossi’s presentation is part of a European-wide panel discussion on “Upcoming Programs” alongside Salvatore De Vita, Economic Advisor to the European Commission, and Marco Falzetti, Director of APRE, the Agency for the Promotion of European Research.
It will be an opportunity to discuss what has been achieved with funds from the 2021-2027 on the National Research, Innovation, and Competitiveness Program, as well as the upcoming initiatives, with particular reference to STEP – Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform, and finally, to conclude with an open discussion on the research and innovation policies that will be at the heart of the next programming cycle (2028-2034).
