On 9 April 2024, the Auditorium of the headquarters of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) will host the workshop entitled “Toward an Italian roadmap for Solar System Science and Exploration” one after the setting up of the working group involved in the definition of the guidelines for Solar System exploration.

The group, set up in 2023, includes members from the academic world as well as from research bodies, for their technical, scientific and planning skills. In particular, the institutions involved are the Parthenope University, the “Federico II” University of Naples, the University of Pescara, the University of Genova, the “Sapienza” University of Rome and the University of Palermo, as well as the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and the National Research Council (CNR).

During the workshop the preliminary guidelines resulting from the work carried out so far by the working group will be presented to the Italian scientific community involved in the study of the Solar System to trigger an open debate to achieve a final version of the roadmap of the Italian activities to be carried out in the next decade.
