Cultural Heritage in green and digital transition
On the occasion of the centenary of the National Research Council (CNR), as part of the initiatives organized to celebrate Italy’s cultural heritage, the Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence will host, from 10 to 12 October 2023, a series of micro-events aimed at a wide variety of audiences and target groups.
The event will open with a Hery-Day, followed by the Rainbow Encounters, a series of roundtables that will see the active involvement of representatives of cultural and creative enterprises, museums, as well as teachers and researchers.
At the CNR facilities hosting the E-RIHS, the Italian hub of the Heritage Science European research infrastructure, the exhibition entitled I linguaggi delle scienze del patrimonio and a playroom focused on colour and light will be set up on a permanent basis to attract curious young people and families.
Moreover, during the event, the CNR Institute of Heritage Science (ISPC) will launch the first hackathon in which three teams of 12 university students each will creatively challenge each other on Heritage Science themes.
The event also includes a pop-up show, open to all visitors, related to “Perceive”- Perceptive Enhanced Realities of Coloured collEctions through artificial Intelligence and Virtual Experiences, the European project on coloured museum collections and digital works of art, artificial intelligence and virtual experiences, coordinated by ISPC-CNR.
